Day Book 12/11/12

From my pictures... I snapped this picture of Whitnee the other day when we were outside playing. She was keeping her juice in her cheeks and looked like a monkey. :D

Outside my window...... Winter has come, and I don't think it's as cold as it was yesterday but it's still cold.

I am thinking.... how I'm excited to get all dolled up tonight and go to a Christmas party with my hubby.

I am thankful..... that I get to stay home with Whitnee, she is such a joy in my life, and I'm so glad I don't have to miss out on the little things.

From the kitchen.... there is dirty dishes in the sick.. there is always dishes in the sink. GRR

I am creating..... a wreath for Michael's Granny for Christmas.

I am remembering.... that no matter what's going on in my life God is always there to see me through it!

I am going...... to a Christmas party tonight

I am reading..... multiple books right now

I am hoping.... for a white Christmas

I am hearing...... Whitnee singing something random. :D

Around the house.... are lights and things to remind us what season it is.

One of my favorite things.... going out with my husband!

Favorite time of year!

It's only 24 days till Christmas! I'm so excited! This really is my favorite time of year! The lights, the excitement of little kids, especially my Whitnee, and the chance of snow even though it's been in the 70's the past couple of days. Since the weather has been so nice we have spent some time outside enjoying it while we can, because it'll be gone soon. One day when we were out playing I snapped this picture of Whitnee. She is so sweet! That fake smile is so silly!

Last weekend we headed to Silver Dollar City to see Santa. Whitnee was so excited and talked about riding the roller coaster. She was good until she got on it and then looked terrified the whole time. HA When she got off she told me she was a little afraid and would have to ride it next time when she is a little bigger. :D I was able to snap this one family picture while on the train.

Whitnee has been such a little stinker the past couple of weeks, so Julie wrote Whitnee a letter telling her Santa was going to give her another chance and also made Whitnee some cookies. She kept telling Julie over and over again thank you for the cookies and that they were so good. :D

I can't remember if I told ya'll that for Christmas we got us a Keurig. Michael and I have wanted one for some time now! Michael told me that we wouldn't be able to open it till Christmas time. I wasn't very happy about that, as I am very impatient! But much to my surprise when he came home this afternoon after work he asked if I would be upset if we opened it tonight because someone he works with needed a coffee pot and we could give them ours. How could one argue with that? So tonight we had our first cup of coffee from our fancy machine. :D Of course it had to be in a Razorback cup, and I had to take a picture. I take pictures of everything now a days!

Today Michael got the rest of the Christmas lights put on the house. Whitnee wanted to get up on the roof with Michael, 2 years ago we did the same thing! She thought she was such a big girl being able to get up there with her daddy!

Tonight we got to start our 25 books counting down Christmas. I've had them under the tree since Tuesday so she has been asking since then to open them. She has also been asking when Santa comes. She told us the other day then when he comes she will open the door tell him Hi, and ask him if he has brought her present yet. So I had to explain to her how that wont work. I'm glad she now has a visual of it getting closer to Santa coming. She was so excited to get to open one of the books tonight. You can see it in her face!

We also started something else this year, a chain of verses telling us the real meaning of Christmas. When we were talking about how Christmas is a time for sharing Whitnee told me that Jesus is dead. I told her she was right and that He is living in mommies heart and in daddies heart and one day he will live in Whitnee's heart. She got all sad and asked when he will live in her heart so we explained to her that when she is old enough she will ask Him to be in her heart. Just makes me so happy to know she is already starting to understand what we are teaching her and praying she will one day except! This is her and her Daddy reading the verses for tonight.

I hope you are all starting great traditions, and creating memories with your families! I look forward to doing this every year as Whitnee gets older!
