The Ups and Downs of Life

Up:
We took with to her first Naturals baseball game! It was such a blast! My brother hollered at me saying he had free tickets if we wanted to go with him. I wasn't sure at first how Whitnee was going to do 'cause it was a busy Saturday. But Whitnee was able to take a really good nap so we packed up and went. Whitnee was soooo good! It also helped that we had help, my sister, brother and his wife were all there. Brittany (my sis) LOVES to take care of Whitnee so she ended up taking her over to the play area when Whitnee got restless other then that she was perfect! Here are some pics of our fun adventure!

Down:

A sweet baby passed away this past weekend. It was my brothers niece sooo family none the less. She had T18/Edward Syndrome. It such a bitter sweet thing! She is soo much better off now, but she had so much ahead of her sweet Addy was only 6 months. She lived 210 days. It was a beautiful funeral. She looked like a little baby doll. I ask that you keep her mommy and daddy in your prayers. As they are going through a rough time. I couldn't imagine loosing Whitnee!

Up:

My dad is getting married tonight. Since we aren't all able to be there my dad and his friends have found away for us to watch the wedding live. I'm so excited! I can't wait! I was part of the rehursal last night it was very interesting! My dad has found a great woman and I'm so happy for him! I'm know going to have 2 step sisters.. that seems kinda wierd and a step mom. LOL Should be fun!

Up:

My sister in law Becca (Michaels sister) moved to San Fransico a couple of months ago, well she will be back to visit next Wednesday and I'm so excited! We are also going a Razorback game while she is here. I can't wait! Nothing better then my sister in law and some good ol' Razorback football!

All in all life is pretty up right now. I'm so thankfull for a healthy baby girl, and all the other great things God has blessed my family with!

Thoughts

I really don't know where to start this blog but I know I need to start it. I know I need to let all the thoughts in my head out. So I guess I'll start from the begining. In June I started watching Ellie, my best friends little girl. Things have been going pretty well. She's soo sweet! Well the last couple of weeks i've been fighting with the emotion of missing my one on one time with Whitnee. We do get some one on one time druing the day while Ellie is napping but not nearly as much as we use to get. I missed being able to go outside with her when ever, I missed going to the park ith her, i've missed going to Walmart with her just because we can and have some time to kill. Whitnee doesn't like being home or well inside. She LOVES to be out and about. Sure we could get out with Ellie but it's so much harder with her still being so little. We didn't even really get out with Whitnee by ourselves when Whitnee was that little it was just to hard.

Next thing I have felt bad about is giving both Whitnee and Ellie they attention they want and need. Both girls need so much attention they are very girly and both need to be center of attention. There is only so much of me to go around and I feel bad for both of them.

I told Ami all of this yesterday and felt soo bad about it! It has nothing to do with them it's all me. I feel as if I need to put me and Whitnee first and I'm not sure how to make someone understand that with out them feeling like it's them or even there child. I also want to be able to enjoy Ellie as she get's older and I want to be someone they can count on to babysit when they need a babysitter. I also don't want Ellie to think of my as the babysitter I want her to think of me as the cool Aunt D.

Mine and Michaels intial thought was to stop watching Ellie in November 'cause the tribute would be paid off so money wouldn't be so tight and that would also give Ami and Guy some time to think about what they are going to do. Today Ami told me that Sept 10th will be the last day I watch her 'cause there is no point in dragging it out. So know I really have to trust that God will provide till Nov since we wont have that extra income. We have done it before so we can do it again as long as we trust in God.

I know what I'm doing is better in the long run. I know that life around the Sherry house will be better 'cause I can spend good time with Whitnee. She is only this little once and I'm only a 1 child mom once and I want to be able to enjoy it and enjoy her. She is at such a fun stage right now! I just love it! I couldn't ask for a better sweet little princess!!

Enough of that.. I feel a little better now getting all that out of my head.

Old Friends

Soo tonight Michael and I had some friends over. I've known Stevie since 4th grade. We were really good friends until after high school. We just both kinda went our seperate ways. Stevie is very much a home body type of person and I was working full time she was going to school and we just lost touch. Well at the first of this year we started hanging out with her and her fiance Brian. Michael and I really enjoyed haning out with them they are VERY low key and are ok with just hanging out at the house and that works out really well for us since we have Whitnee. Well the last time we hung out was in March for Stevie's birthday we took them out to dinner came home put Whitnee to bed and then just sat around and talked. That's one thing I really enjoy about them is we have really good conversations! That and they are soo ok with just hanging around and doing that. Well after her birthday I guess we all just got kinda busy with the activities of summer and didn't hang out much we talked via facebook but nothing ever major. Well I decided last night that I missed them and decided they needed to come over. Well they came over tonight and I was reminded as to how good of a friend she was and is becoming agian. Brian and Michael get a long well too so that helps. I'm just thankful that I've gotten the chance to hang out with them agian. We have even planned on going to the craft fair in Oct and the boys plus Whitnee will hang out. I would take Whitnee but it's always soo crowded and it would just be more of a hassel. We have also decided that we are going to go to the Zoo in Sept. H

Hmm so know i'm sitting her thinking what's the purpose of me writting this blog LOL I just got the feeling that I needed to blog about tonight. :D I guess I"m doing this just to say thank you to God for allowing such great people in my life, even when I wasn't sure if we would be friends after high school. Her and I have had sooo many good times togeather and I'm glad that we can still get togeather and it's like old times again. Here's to many more get togeathers with them and many more random blogs to come. :D

Still not sure why I'm blogging.. guess I'll go to bed now. :D

First Family Vacation

Was so much fun! We went to Branson, Mo. We went shopping and then spent the afternoon and evening in Silver Dollar City. We drove up there Friday evening and met up with some friends of ours, the Browns. We stayed the night with them, then on to our shopping adventure. Whitnee got soo many things! We ended up getting pretty much her whole fall wardrobe!! YAY! Branson has AMAZING outlet malls, and then they were also having there no sales taxs weekend to! Here is some of the outfits she got.She is going to be one hip little girl! YAY! I'm so thankful that God blesses Michael and I to be able to spoil her like we get to do!

Then it was off to Silver Dollar City. Whitnee was such a good girl! She LOVED her pup pup aka her leash. :D I've always said I would never put my kid on one but it was soo nice to have it this weekend 'cause she didn't want to be in her stroller the whole time but with the leash she could walk around and still be right there with out us having to chase her down. She had so much fun, and a lot of people actually commented on it and how nice it was. Here is a pic her her in her pup pup.

Where To Start?

We have been soo busy that last month! I guess I start like I start when I think back in my head.. just random. :D So here goes

Well we are taking Whitnee to Branson for the first time this weekend! YAY! Missouri is having there tax fee weekend so Michael and I have set aside some money to try and get Whitnee her fall wordrobe. I'm excited! Then we are going to Silver Dollar City. There are actually a couple of rides that she will be able to ride! Woo Hoo I soo hope she is like her dad and loves to ride rides, and not a chicken like her mommy. I'm so excited! We are going with a family from our church so it should be a ton of fun!

Michael has been on vaca this weekend and it's been soo nice to have him home all day! Come Monday it'll be back to reality and I'm gonna miss him so much. It'll be weird to not have him here. While he was off we had planned a trip to the zoo... well that didn't get to happen. :( I some how messed my foot up agian. GRRR but it is feeling soo much better!

Well last weekend we had our youth trip. It was soo much fun! We have such a great group of young adults. I always look forward to haning out with them.

We also had our VBS a couple of weeks back. It was sooo much fun! This was the first year that I did music by myself and I will say I think I did really good! I was very proud of myself! I really enjoyed teaching the kids!

Whitnee has been so silly that last couple of weeks! OOO and she has a TON of teeth that have come in! One of her new things is drinking her bath water LOL why? I dunno but she really doesn't drink it she will lean over and take a "drink" and then say "aaahh" oh I love that child! Oh she will also say no no when I ask her for kisses.. :( so sad! She has also been doing really good with going to bed with out being rocked! She still has her bottle but we are working on breaking one habit at a time. She such a big girl, I'm so proud of her! She is also not really wanting a bottle during the day. Michael and I have starting making a big deal out of having a big girl Whitnee cup! I love being her mommy!
