Here is the nail polish that I mentioned in my post last week. I'm LOVEING it! Michael got me a gift certificate to get my nails and toes done so I'm gonna take the polish in and have them do a French manicure with dots.
Whitnee loves getting present is the mail, well one of her Great Aunts sent her this present and she was so so excited!!
I've been on the hunt for some good supportive sandals that aren't flip flops for a long time. Well my fav flip flops are Teva brand and I really like the chaco sandals but don't like the price of them. So I figured I would get me some Teva brand ones. Well I have a high arch so I like to get shoes that either form to my feet or that have a good support in them. Well the sandals that I got are amazing! Great support, and soo comfy! Makes me ready for some warm weather and some walking around Silver Dollar City!
Ok so here is the mass amounts of pictures from this weekend. Michael and I went to Tulsa, Ok to the Winter Jam concert. It's 10 Christian artists for $10. The big names this year were people like Sidewalk Prophets, Jamie Grace, Matthew West... and oh my fav TOBY MAC!!! Michael and I have been planning this trip for about a month now, so we didn't do anything for Valentines Day and drove to Tulsa Friday, here is a pic of me and my handsome hubby on the way, it was weird because I drove their so he could study since he got to preach Sunday Morning.
We got to stay with my brother, his wife and Hannah, so we drove to their house first let traffic die down, they live right outside of Tulsa ad then did dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.. it was AMAZING! The food was fab as was the service! Here is a picture of our yummy cheese cake, it was a German Chocolate Cheese cake.
The concert was on Saturday it's basically a first come first serve type of a thing so we decided to get up early and head out and just wait. First we stopped and had some breakfast, and of course I had to snap a picture of Hannah and I. Sure do love this kid!
After like 5 hours of waiting we made it inside! Woot!!
They started the concert off with a group called Capital Kings, they were really good! Then they called all the youth leaders into a room to meet some of the artist! Oh yeah!!
The first guy we got to meet is from the band RED, they aren't my type of music but Michael likes them, and I've heard a lot of good stuff about them.
Then Toby Mac's drummer got up and told his testimony and how he was selling drugs by at 15, then not long after that ended up having 3 kids by 3 different baby mommas. He then went on to talk about how Toby Mac asked him to be his drummer and loved him through everything instead of judging him.
Next was Matthew West, I can't wait to get his book, he put out a thing last year asking people to send him stories of their life and he thought he would get a couple hundred and ended up getting a couple thousand. He then took those stories ad put them in a book and the also wrote some songs about the stories. He told us a couple of the stories and they are amazing. Go check him out!
Last but not least guess who came and talked to us.. oh yes Toby him self! I remember growing up and listening to Dc Talk, didn't really follow them when they split up, well a couple of years back we took the youth to Dallas and saw Toby live, and he puts on such an amazing show! It was great to hear his testimony and encouragement to us who work with youth.
The next couple of pictures are just people from the tour singing from Jason Castro, to Jamie Grace, to Newsong, who by the way started Winter Jam. They were amazing as well!
The next Pictures are of Toby Mac and then Hannah and I and then Michael and I with Hannah being silly
It was such an amazing time of worship! We had so much fun! I enjoyed being with the hubby and having some mommy and daddy time, I will say however I was so happy to get home and take a nap this afternoon with this sweet little girl! Sure did miss her!
Well I hope you were able to all stick around to the end. We really had a blast but are glad to be home in our comfy bed and with our Princess! Now it's time to catch up on some sleep!
Great story. It was almost like I actually got to see the concert. Lol next year I will know to go 5 hours early.
